reflection
I am on schedule, but i am waiting for the sample to be printed and sent to me. i want to make sure it fits before going any further with this piece. in the meantime i am going to work on a fish model because it seems a bit more challenging.

goal
This week I am going to load the stick in to the program for printing. I'm going to mess with the color and see what I can get as far as matching my interior goes. I will also research what material I can finish the stick with. I want almost a rubber finish so that I have good grip and in the winter it wont feel as cold as straight up metal.

Goals
By the end of this week I want to have started my new project, and be on my way to completion. I want to make something that I can print off in 3-D.
last week i completed my 3-D monster for my portfolio, and i might come back to it later in order to render it even more.

- Goktug Gurellier, Portrait of Alien
-
- this pieceis simple in its geometry, but the simplicity is what makes this a “shocking” alien. The face has groves that are consistently inconsistent in a way that looks like skin. The eyes are pupils, but have a small amount of lines running to the back that are barely visible in the front. The lumps on the head, ears, and around the eyes take simple geometry and give it a “pop” that appears both realistic and stunning. I want to create a realistic humanoid figure.4.the mood is pensive. The alien is neither harmful or happy. He or she appears to be thoughtful. The expression and wrinkles imply that the alien is older.5.6. I love this piece. I love it because the artist took such a simple design, threw in some twists and rendered it to create a realistic humanoid head.7.I want to create a creature, and I am going to make It a bit more simple for the sake of realism.
Proposal
I want to make a piece that is both realistic and other-worldly. I will be designing a figure of a humanoid figure with non-human traits such as large eyes and exaggerated proportions. I want the model to be as realistic as possible for my portfolio to show an understanding of 3d modeling.
Breakdown; January 6th I will have completed the sketches
-January 12th I will have the basic model ready on mia to load on to mudbox
-January 21st I will have a fully textured model without color
-January 31st I will have the model fully rendered
